Aruba is divided into the north east and south west coasts. The south west has the white sand beaches, turquoise seas, and warm waters. The north east coast, exposed to the Atlantic, has a few white sand beaches, cacti, rough seas with treacherous currents, and a rocky coastline. The time in Aruba is Atlantic standard time; it is the same as Eastern Daylight Savings time all year round.
Aruba may be best known for its beautiful Caribbean beaches and perfect weather, but venture off the sand and check out fun attractions. You’ll find a happy island full of history, culture, rugged landscapes, exotic local dishes and even more fun activities in Aruba.
Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm, sunny weather.
Things To Do:
- The Arikok Park
Nearly 20% of Aruba is a designated National Park and home to a long list of animal species and plant life. The Arikok Park is our national treasure; we protect everything in it and you can too just by visiting.
The Arikok National Park is a great place to spend the entire day enjoying the dramatic landscapes. There is a small entrance fee that goes towards the preservation of the park and the animals who roam freely throughout the 7907 acres.
- Underwater Tours
Discover Aruba underwater without getting wet! Take an exciting cruise in the submarine or semi- submarine. During the excursion you will get the chance to view Aruba’s colorful underwater world and get surprised by a fabulous array of colorful corals and tropical fishes. You can also enjoy a spectacular view of two sunken wrecks.

Ah, the Great Barrier Reef. If you didn’t see it for yourself you’d be forgiven for thinking this sailing and watersports hub at the tip of the country was the figment of someone’s imagination. Crystal clear waters, pristine sandy beaches and a world-renowned reef make this the quintessential sun, sand and sea romantic paradise island holiday. Seventy-four islands make up the great Whitsundays, and while there are ten resorts on eight of the islands to choose from, we’re big fans of Hayman. Renowned for its luxurious surroundings as well as outstanding chefs and cuisine, it’s the epitome of romantic indulgence. Wouldn’t you want to be surrounded by a huge lagoon pool overlooking tropical vistas and sandy white beaches? Quaint island boutiques, sumptuous dining and killer sunsets with a cocktail in hand are the stuff romantic vacations are made of.
Hayman, Australasia’s most awarded luxury nature resort, is a private island of astonishing natural beauty, restorative peace, adventure and indulgence. Hayman offers a front-row seat to the Great Barrier Reef and a world of leisure and adventure.
On a sparkling sunny day the colour of the water of Hayman’s lagoon and Whitsunday Passage are simply stunning – the hues range from turquoise to emerald and sapphire. There’s excellent snorkelling directly off one of the beaches on Hayman in Blue Pearl Bay. Some argue this is the best beach snorkelling in the Whitsundays.
Things To Do:
Hayman Island offers guests plenty of activities that range from bushwalks to tours of the nearby Great Barrier Reef. Cruise or fly by helicopter to see Heart Reef, Hill Inlet or Whitehaven Beach, it’s all possible at Hayman Island.
